1100 km. Ez pont annyi, mint a Milánó és Budapest közötti távolság autóval. A különbség csak annyi, hogy ezt most Chiang Maiból kiindulva, kanyarokkal tűzdelt hegyi utakon 8 nap alatt tesszük meg. Megyünk dzsungelbe, a hegy tetejére, vízesésekhez, gejzírekhez, barlangokba, és ha jól csináljuk, akkor még egy kis rafting is belefér.
Az útvonal tervezgetéséért és a Chinag Mai környéki öletekért óriási nagy köszönet Fülesnek. Nélküle ez az út nem jöhetett volna létre :-)
Hosszú hónapok hosszú levelezései alapján ezt a tervet raktuk össze (a dőlt betűs megjegyzések Fülestől származnak), bár hogy végül hol és mikor állunk meg, azt menet közben döntjük el:
Jan 1-2: Utazás Sukhothaiba, és ott nézelődés
Jan 3: Sukhothai – Tak – Li – Hot – Op (Ob) Luang – kanyon megnézése, éjszaka itt vagy esetleg innen tovább Mae Sariangba, és ott éjszaka, ez hosszabb vezetés, viszont akkor másnap sokkal több idő lesz nézelődni Mae Hong Son-ban. Ob Luang és Mae Sariang között elhagyatott és olykor rázós-kátyús az út (bár lehet, hogy megjavították már). Reggel 6:55 körül napkelte, 17:50 körül napnyugta, utána félórával már sötét van!
Jan 4: Op Luang vagy Mae Sariang – Mae Hong Son – Így kicsit rövidebb lenne az út erre a napra (kb 6 óra ez busszal, szóval autóval kevesebb). ki lehet térni a vad napraforgómezők fele Khum Yuam környékén – de akkor aztán tényleg egész nap vezetés este mindenképpen fel kell menni a város fölé a chediktől nézni az alkonyatot!
Nai Soi Karen village - A hosszúnyakú karenekről el szoktam mondani mindenkinek, hogy ők menekültek, és nem hordanák már a karikákat, ha nem fenyegetnék őket a maffiózók. Többszáz bahtos belépődíjat szednek, mint egy állatkertben, de a menekültek csak annyit kapnak ebből, hogy épphogy nem halnak éhen. Iskolába, dolgozni nem mehetnek, gyakorlatilag foglyok. Mindenki eldöntheti, megy-e, akarja-e, ha egyszer az alap tényeket már tudja a helyzetükről, én nem voltam.
Jan 5: Mae Hong Son és környéke, Soppong, útközben Fish Cave, onnan Baan Tham Lot – barlang (madarak – denevérek)
Jan 6: rafting a barlangon keresztül http://www.cavelodge.com/kayakraft.htm (vagy az egynapos útjuk a Susa vízeséshez), utána este (még sötétedés előtt ha lehet!!!) vezetés Paiba – csak 40 vagy 45 km, de ez a legszebb rész, és nehéz is, én nem mernék sötétben, éjszaka Pai ennek a változásnak itt az a nagy előnye, hogy nem kell iszonyú sokat visszamenni Mae Hong Son-ból megint Paiba, és szerintem a rafting is jobb. bár a kétnapos lenne az igazi, a dzsungelben alvással stb, az benne az igazán jó szerintem :-) http://www.thairafting.com/en/rafting/ref-r-1/r-1.html
Jan 7: Pai, elefántogolás, hot springs, Pai canyon, Chiang Maiba vezető úton national park, gejzír, hot spings, vízesés
Jan 8: vissza Chiang Mai-ba, útközben Huay Nam Dang kilátás a nemzeti parkra, hot springs, vízesés - Szerintem ezek beleférnek, ha korán indul az ember. itt az út második fele már nem durva (Mokfa vízesés után) és simán lehet sötétben is. a vezetés összesen nem több mint három-négy óra, és akkor plusz a nézelődések és kajálás stb.
“Bárcsak lenne jó sok időtők errefele, simán el lehet lézengeni egy hónapot úgy, hogy csupa szép helyet lát az ember, és nincs rohanás :-(“ Na tessék, és még mondja valaki, hogy milyen nagyon hosszú az az egy hónap szabi! ;-)
