Ha az ember külföldön él, akkor a névnap többé-kevésbé elveszti jelentőségét, sőt idővel el is felejtkezünk róla. Nemcsak másokéról – ami ugye könnyű, hiszen a naptárakban nincsenek jelölve, sőt a virág- és bóvliárusok sem emlékeztetnek minket a közelgő népszerűbb névnapokra a kirakatokban -, hanem a sajátunkról is.
Pedig a névnap nem egy rossz találmány. Míg az ember születésnapjáról csak a család és a közelebbi barátai vesznek tudomást, addig a neve napján özönlenek a jókívánságok, és még a ritkán látott barátoktól, ismerősöktől is befut egy-egy telefon vagy e-mail. Jó érzés évente egyszer kicsit a középpontban lenni és ráeszmélni, hogy bizony rengeteg ember van, aki gondol ránk és azt kívánja, hogy boldogok, egészségesek legyünk.
Én szívesen gondolok vissza azokra az időkre, amikor igazi (nem elektronikus és nem zenés, nem animált) képeslapokat küldözgettünk egymásnak. Az sem került sokba. Ami igazán értékessé tette, az a ráfordított idő és a fáradozás, hogy megvegyük, megírjuk (a saját kis kezünkkel, tintával – esetleg valami különleges színű tollal, hogy igazán ünnepi legyen) és postára adjuk, mindezt lehetőleg úgy, hogy az ünnepeltnek pont a neve napján érkezzen és ne egy-két nappal előbb vagy később.
Aztán ott voltak az aprócska kis ajándékok, egy tábla csoki, egy szál virág, egy kép. Nem számítottunk soha nagy ajándékra, sőt az sem volt probléma, ha a jókívánság mellé csak két puszit kaptunk. Mert ez nem az az ünnep, amikor az számít, hogy ki mekkora és mennyi ajándékot kap. (Nem mondom, hogy nem sült el időnként kellemetlenül. Mint például, amikor 21 éves koromban az egyik nem fiatal, csöppet sem sármos és nem is közeli kolléga beállított hozzám az irodába egy csokor vörös rózsával névnapomon. És persze éppen abban a pillanatban, amikor jelen volt Amby is még éppen csak bimbódzó kapcsolatunk kezdetén.) Mégis jó volt adni és kapni.
Idén először jutottam oda, hogy elfelejtkeztem a saját névnapomról. Talán éppen ezért, különösen jól esett, amikor Amby közölte, hogy akkor este elmegyünk valahova és boldog névnapot kívánt. Már az esti programra várakozástól egész nap jókedvem volt. Aztán befutott néhány e-mail és telefonhívás otthonról, amik végül egész nap mosolyogva tartottak.
Nem akarom elveszteni a névnapom! Azt akarom, hogy november 25-én engem ünnepeljenek!
