Nemrégiben részt vettünk életünk első olasz esküvőjén. A következőket tudtuk meg:
1., egyházi és állami esküvő egyben van, elég egyszer templomban “igen”-t mondani, azt bejegyzik a hatóságok is (állítólag nincs is külön olyan, hogy anyakönyvvezető, ha a pár nem akar templomi esküvőt, akkor lehetőség van államit szervezni, ilynekor az önkorműnyzattól kirendelnek valakit -ez azonban Olaszországban nagyon ritka)
2., nem illik lilát hordani az esküvőn, kivéve, ha éppen az a divat (és mivel most éppen az, a nőnemű vendégek fele lilában virított)
2.a., megtudtuk viszont, hogy tiszta fehérben sem illik vendégként esküvőn részt venni, mert az csak a menyasszonyt illeti meg
3., az esküvőn nemcsak a vendégek, de a pár is ad ajándékot, általában édességet (“bonboniere”)
4., Észak-Olaszországban nem divat a hajnalig táncos esküvő, általában dél körül vagy kora délután kezdődik és egy hosszú ebéd után este vége. Előfordul, hogy zene sincs, vagy éppen csak aláfestő jelleggel.
5., az olasz esküvők általában nagyok 150-200 fő meghívott vendéggel (amin mi vettünk részt, az kifejezetten kicsi volt 80 fővel)
