Van egy kedvenc könyvünk. Egy középkorú nőről szól, aki jó ember. Vagy legalábbis eddig azt hitte magáról. Hű feleség, derék családanya és emellett orvos… Ki más lenne jó ember, ha nem egy orvos, aki nap mint nap segít másokon? Ám egyszer csak ez a nő megcsalja a férjét, aztán rögtön – ráadásul mobil telefonon – közli vele, hogy válni akar… Hogy miért? Na nem az új szerelem miatt, hanem mert nem bírja tovább elviselni férje állandó cinizmusát, önzőségét, morgolódását és hogy nem képes élvezni az életet.
Ekkor azonban váratlan fordulatot vesznek az események. A morcos férj, aki egyébként újságíróként, egy reklamálós és odamondogatós rovatot ír a helyi újságnak, találkozik egy különös nevű hitgyógyítóval, akinek a hatására egy csapásra megváltozik. Kedvessé, megértővé válik és olyannyira végtelenül és észveszejtõen JÓ ember lesz belõle, hogy a feleség visszasírja egykori mogorva férjét. A férfi ugyanis szétosztogatja gyerekei számítógépét és játékait, kampányt indít, hogy az utcájukban mindenki fogadjon be egy hajléktalant, és az időközben hozzájuk költözött hitgyógyítóval együtt könyvet ír a jóságról. A feleség csodálkozik, próbál megértő lenni (talán agydaganat?), majd átfordul veszekedésbe, viszolygásba. Hirtelen a férj lesz a jó, és ő az önző és érzékeltlen. Tényleg bűnösnek kellene éreznie magát, hogy CD lejátszót meg CD-ket vesz a maga szórakoztatására, miközben rengetegen élnek úgy, hogy még egy tető sincs a fejük felett? A főszereplővel együtt mi is kénytelen vagyunk újra és újra mindent átgondolni, amit mindeddig a szeretetrõl, szerelemről, jóságról eddig gondoltunk. Persze, minden jó, ha a vége jó, életöröm a köbön. Vicces és nagyon jól megírt könyv.
